As someone who loves EVs and always looks for big family-friendly electric cars that have good space and style – especially in a country like India where seven-seaters are very popular – the launch of the VinFast Limo Green feels very refreshing. This seven-seat MPV from Vietnam’s VinFast is not just another import; it is an important new option in the growing electric MPV market. It brings a clean design, long driving range, and a price that makes sense for developing countries.

The Limo Green was first shown in Vietnam on January 9, 2025, as part of VinFast’s “Green Line” for transport services. It later appeared at the GAIKINDO Jakarta AutoShow (GJAW 2025) from November 21–30, where it became one of the main highlights along with the VF Wild concept. Testing has already been seen in India, and a local launch is confirmed for February 2026.

VinFast is placing this MPV as a competitor to the Kia Carens Clavis EV and BYD eMAX 7, and the company has already invested $2 billion in India, including a big plant in Thoothukudi that will build around 50,000 cars each year. With an estimated starting price of ₹25–35 lakh after subsidies, a 450 km NEDC range, and 201 hp from a front motor, the Limo Green looks like a smart eco-friendly choice for families.

VinFast Limo Green Design and Features: Sleek, Spacious, and Smart for Indian Families

The VinFast Limo Green has a modern MPV shape – long but easy to drive. It is 4,730 mm long with a 2,840 mm wheelbase, giving very good legroom for rear passengers. The design looks bold with a V-shaped LED grille, high-position DRLs, flush door handles for better aerodynamics, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The sliding second-row doors make it easy for children and elderly people to get in. The rear has connected LED lights and a neat-looking bumper. Ground clearance is 170 mm, which is suitable for Indian speed breakers.

Inside, it is built for families. There are three rows with seven seats (2+3+2 layout). The second and third rows can be folded to create up to 2,000 litres of cargo space. The dashboard has a 15.4-inch touchscreen with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, OTA updates, and voice commands. There is also a 10.25-inch digital driver display. Features include dual-zone AC with rear vents, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charger, and an 8-speaker system (upgradable to 12 speakers).

Safety is strong with Level 2 ADAS features like adaptive cruise, lane keep, and automatic emergency braking. There is also a 360-degree camera, 6 airbags, ESC, and tyre pressure monitoring. It is expected to score 5 stars in Bharat NCAP. For Indian families, ISOFIX mounts and a usable third row make it very practical.

VinFast Limo Green Engine and Performance: Efficient EV Power with Ride-Hailing Ready Punch

The VinFast Limo Green uses a front electric motor that makes 201 hp and 280 Nm. It can do 0–100 km/h in around 9 seconds, which is good for a family MPV. It uses a single-speed automatic system for smooth driving.

It comes with a 60 kWh LFP battery, known for long life and safety. It offers up to 450 km NEDC range, which means around 350–400 km in real mixed driving. This is enough for daily city use or long weekend trips.

Charging is convenient:
• 11 kW AC home charging: full charge in about 6 hours
• 80 kW DC fast charging: 10–70% in about 30 minutes

Top speed is 160 km/h. The ride feels smooth and quiet, and regenerative braking helps save energy. There is no AWD version yet, but hill-descent control helps on slopes. Running cost is very low at ₹1–1.5/km compared to diesel’s ₹8/km.

VinFast Limo Green Launch, Price, and Variants: Value-Packed EV MPV Under ₹30 Lakh

The VinFast Limo Green is priced to attract many buyers. It is expected to start at ₹25 lakh ex-showroom in India (after FAME-III subsidies) and go up to ₹35 lakh for higher variants. This puts it close to the Kia Carens EV and BYD eMAX 7.

Expected Prices (Ex-Showroom):

Top: ₹35 lakh

Expected On-Road (Delhi): ₹28–39 lakh
